How To Apply For CDHCI:
When considering in-home services such as respite, companionship, or additional home services, covered under the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) program, please keep these in mind:
- You need to reside in Alberta with a valid Alberta Health Care Card to qualify for services
- A home care assessment is required, conducted by an AHS Case Manager
- Your care needs should be: manageable at home, predictable, and consistent
- You would be responsible for paying any additional services directly to us.
- These charges may include: additional hours beyond the approved limits, vacation pay, overtime, equipment and other expenses (these expenses would not be covered by the CDHCI program)
